MERRY CHRISTMAS

Early Merry Christmas everyone. I know I wont have anytime the rest of the week for more postings. I hope everyone has a great Christmas and has a blast!!!!!! Oh this is my tree :o) Im mad cause I didnt realize my star was facing the wrong way till after I took the picture!

Family Day!

So our family decided to gather the whole gang and take some pics as a surprise christmas present for Mom and Dad (I'm not worried about them seeing this obviously i dont even think they know we do blogs lol) So we are so amateur its not even funny.. we havent a clue how to pose or where to stand in the light.. NOTHING!! haha but I think they came out pretty cute. Here's some cute ones (obviously havnt been edited or anything yet) and just some funny ones. I love my family. I wish I could see them more often!

Cardinals.. so sad.

This past Sunday Mike and I went to the Cardinals vs. Vikings game. It was my first football game ever and the Vikings dominated us. Boooo!!!! Oh well it was still a lot of fun.

Halloween

Halloween was fun! Friday, We went over to my sisters and took my adorable little neices Trick or Treating (they were Tinkerbell and the Sugar Plum Fairy). I was so mad though because I forgot my camera, and my sisters computer has a virus on it so she wont be able to post the pics till that nightmare gets fixed. Anywayas It was a lot of fun we sat out on the front porch and made smores in the fire pit after we were all worn out from making all of the candy rounds. I'll have pictures later, or Lisa will. But I have Harlee's bumble bee costume as promised! She wouldnt keep it on all the way so its not a quality picture by any means!


Saturday night we went to a little Halloween Party for my husbands work. I was such a lame-O, I didnt dress up. But Mike was "Vanilla Ice", it was pretty funny. In this picture you will see him with my Father dressed up like a Referee. I'm glad I was born into a family with such a great sense of humor, and that my husband has one as well.. because I'm not quite as bold but its funny to watch everyone else!!

So everyone's always posting all these cute pictures of their kids and I feel left out so I decided to do one of our kids. Our dogs.. sad I know. But for now, they are our children!!!

This is Tex. He's an American Bulldog. He is the most loving dog I've ever known.. and he's huge so when he tries to give hugs and sit on your lap it makes it kind of hard. I usually get knocked over! He loves soft things to lay on (pillows, blankets, towels.. you name it), randomly eating grass, food of course, Milk Bone dog treats and hot dogs, playing with harlee, and rough housing with Mike! He's been a great dog we really love him. He's a part of the American Bulldog Association and he's been working on getting some pretty cool titles put on him at the dog show next month so wish Mike and Tex good luck. So far he has his CGC title which he had to test for. (Canine good citizen). By the way Mike does all this with him, I dont have the motivation. I think its way cool though!!!

And this is Harlee. She is a Puggle (pug/beagle mix). She's about 4 years old, Mike and I got her before we were married. Harlee's..... special!! Although she's cute as a button she's not quite as friendly as Tex, she doesn't really like strangers so it makes it hard to take her on walks! She's got lots of quirks about her.. She loves to give kisses, likes to sleep under the covers with mom, she'll pace around our wall in our backyard and just bark at it, she likes to chase Tex around the park, She likes wearing foo-foey dresses (really she does i think it makes her feel cute), and anytime I'm on the computer she's right underneath the desk just chillin at my feet like she is at this moment.

P.S. Last year for Halloween she was Snow White. This year she's a Bumble Bee. I'll post the pictures. WOW I'm a loser! But geez I gotta dress up something and I'm too old to play with dolls!

So there it is. Boring I know, but those are the other two Ploegers in our household that never get any love on the blogs!! A few years down the road we will have human children to talk about!!!

And yes Pandoras box was opened. We bought the big screen of Mike's dreams! It's great though, we've been enjoying it. We will do our best not to become couch potatoes.. the HD is so hypnotizing though!

Happy Late Birthday!

Mikes 24th Birthday was last September 27th! I just want him to know that I appreciate the man that he is. This guy works 50 hours a week sometimes more and still finds time to be with his wife.. thank you love! I couldnt ask for a better husband. Enough with the mushy business.. so I called all of our close family and asked if they would want to help go in on a Playstation 3 for him for his bday. He absolutely LOVES it, I may have some competiton. He'll stay up so late playing that thing. But I'm glad he's found something where he can sit down, relax, and just play! His next project is getting a big screen tv so he can get the full effects of the blu-ray.. oh and not to mention now he wants an upgraded surround sound system. Have I opened pandoras box or what! Its ok he's worth every penny!

No more Blonde!

Hi Everyone. Yes I have been a Slacker and I have no excuses other then Mike and I being busy with our careers full time, so its hard to keep up! So I will try my best to fill you all in even though you think I probably fell off the face of the earth.. I'm still here guys! I decided to do somethins SO crazy that I never thought I would do it in a million years.. I completely dyed my hair dark. WOW! I look so different. At first when I looked in the mirror I didn't even recognize myself but its growing on me and I actually really like it. Its kind of nice how all the "blonde jokes" are no longer directed at me :o)

Sorry so long!

Hi everyone. So sorry its been awhile since we've posted. I'd love to say we have a bunch of new exciting things to update everyone on but we really don't! The past couple weeks our jobs have been keeping us pretty busy. So basically we've just been hanging out with our fam.. but no complaints there as we love them dearly. The only new news that we have and are pretty excited about is that we are all going to Rocky Point, Mexico at the end of June with our family (Teena, Jim, Tash, Jason and Alana) We will definitely have some fun pictures to post later on that. I'm sure it will be a very adventurous vacation, especially with my husband. There is NEVER a dull moment with him! We hope everyone is doing well. We love all of you! Sorry no pics.. I'm slippin!

Great Weekend with a Bad Ending!

So Mike and I had a great weekend and I actually had my camera with me so yay pictures! On Friday night our friend Jenni had a little Suns Playoff party at her house.. to bad they didn't win that one. Here's Mike and I trying to take a picture with Jenni's little Yorkie Captain.. he wasn't having it! And whats up with Mikes blood shot eyes??? He must have been crying cause the Suns were playing so horribly! JK!

Saturday was one of my really good girlfriend's bachelorette party! Lyndsie's engaged to Mike's bestfriend Lee and we became friends when they started dating about 3 years ago! It's been pretty cool watching them evolve from dating to serious relationship to marriage, they are a great couple and we love them! My friend Laura and I were the only non-drinkers so we drove together.. we left early though. But we ate a pretty cool restaurant called Olive & Ivy. We joke and say everyone probably thinks we're such old married women! SO UNCOOL!! haha.

Saturday Mike played in a company charity softball tournament in Phoenix! It was fun.. hot outside but still fun.. and I love watching him play!

On Sunday we went over to my sisters Lisa's house to hang out with the fam! I love going over there my little nieces are the two most adorable little girls ever!! We hung out in the front yard and watched them ride their bicycles (Mike even joined in it was pretty cute). They crack me up.. Ella was running around in her pull-ups itching like crazy from being in the grass, and dragging around her little toy pony. She refused to put clothes on haha. I've never been able to get a picture of her smiling but I finally got one I was so excited!!

So Sunday evening I started feeling real achy and my throat started to get sore. Later that night I had a full blown sore throat.. so painful. I'm pretty sure I have strep, I'm going to the Doc tomorrow so we will see! And there's no pictures of that sorry to disappoint.. you would thank me I look like a bus ran over me like five times. Eww! I hate being sick!!!!! And thats my bad ending to a very long post that I'm missing our fave tv show House for so I hope it wasn't too boring!

Jason and Tasha came over tonight to watch the playoffs Suns vs. Spurs (very disappointing by the way!) Tash made brownies and Michael made grilled chicken and shrimp it was delish! Anyways..Its so funny because Jason gets so worked up and I just happened to catch this great little candid moment about how much he loves Ginobili! Jason you should really have your own reality show its hilarious how dramatic you are with sports.. Tasha you must be so entertained!! Mikes entertaining in a different kind of yelling/mean/don't want to be around him when he's watching a game kind of way.. just kidding honey!!

Zoo!

So Mike and I decided to go to the zoo on Sunday. Very random. But it was a lot of fun, I get a kick out of watching animals for some reason! Here's some of my favorites!



The best part about the humango orangutan is his name is Michael.. Fantastic! But look at the little baby underneath I was officially obsessed with it!




Anyways it was good to have hubby and wifey time together since we've both been working full time jobs

So Tash (mikes sis) and Jason my wonderful in-laws made a special trip over to our house today to deliver my present! I just want everyone to know that I have the best in-laws in the world (even you jase) Thank you so much for thinking of me and I really like the present.. Jason Earmuffs... Mike REALLY likes it too! Actually like is putting it lightly! Anyways thank you for being the wonderful people you are! And sorry if we seemed a little distant when you came over.. remember how you guys were asking if we ever got into fights.. well we had a little one tonight but all is well!!!!! From the bottom of our hearts.. we love you both and are so excited we will all be able to grow old together! haha! Bingo time!!!!!!

Birthday!

So my family and I all went out to Benihinas lastnight for my birthday din din! It was a lot of fun, I'll post pictures soon. I had a greay bday.. Mike spoiled me as usual and got me some great things one of which is a digital camera so I will be able to post pictures more often! And my "work family" made me a special cake and got me some goodies as well.. they are so sweet! Thank you family and friends for a great birthday!!!!!

Dogs!

I left out two very important family members in my first post.. I feel extremely guilty so here's a little post just for them! Our dogs :o) Miss Harlee who is about 3 yrs old.. shes my baby; and Mr. Tex who is 13 months old! We love our dogs so much!! Michael takes Tex to training every wednesday night, he is training in obedience and protection! He's a big teddy bear though! And Harlee is my little sidekick, she pretty much follows me everywhere and I have an obsession with buying her cute little frilly collars, she has about a thousand of them!!

Back to the 80's everyone!!

I think this picture is so fantastic! Back to our youthful days when it was all about big hair, tacky headbands and stonewash jeans (mine just happened to be a full on jumpsuit haha) And in our family you just weren't cool unless you had the frizzed out bangs! Starting from the left going around the table my cousin Jenilyn, Crystal, my sister Kristen, Aunt VeAnne, then theres me, and Lisa with her back facing the camera.. look at all her hair!!

We finally caved! This is a long one!

Well I finally decided to slowly leave good ol myspace and create a blog! We may keep both I dont know.. but most of our family is on here so its a great way to keep in touch with you all! Right now we are in Orem Utah visiting with family. It's so beautiful up here and Mike has the best family living out here. We've really grown attached to his Aunt Robin and her whole family. And we love to come see Grandpa Briggs he's such a sweet man, we're actually sitting in his living room watching the Utah Jazz game with him as I'm writing.
Anyways.. a little about us, Mike and Lindsey Ploeger obviously! We were married November 11th, 2005 and live in Gilbert AZ. I am 21 and Michael is 23. We purchased our first home after living in an apartment in Chandler about a year ago, and we absolutly love it! Decorating is still slowly coming along but we got the landscaping all done which was exciting to get finished. Mike has been working as a Project Engineer at Hunter Contracting for almost 2 years and is doing great there, he's always working so hard and takes a lot of pride in what he does! He also works at Discount Tire Co on Saturdays just because he likes too ( I know he's crazy) He's like the little energizer bunny I swear. But I couldnt ask for a better husband.. really. I'm currently working at a dental office in Gilbert AZ doing front office work which I've really been enjoying. I've only been there since November after deciding to leave the retail world and so far so good! I learn something new everyday and it never gets boring.. you'd think it would sitting at a desk but its not! I love it! Now I know EVERYONE asks us when are we having kids.. bla bla bla bla! haha jk. But we want you all to know that yes we are thrilled to have a family in the future and can hardly wait but for now we just want to enjoy eachother and grow together a little more as a couple before we bring a little Ploeger into the world! But who knows.. maybe sooner than later? You never know what path life will take you down.
We are so grateful that most of our immediete family lives right with us in Arizona. No ones over 30 minutes away so thats nice! I have my Mother Marlo whose so loving and sweet ( sometimes she can be quite the fireball but she's a mom after all) jk mom! But she will never throw in the towel on keeping her kids in check no matter how old we are.. but we do appreciate her for it! My Dad Roger who will always make me laugh no matter what and would do anything for his kids, my little brother Zach whose 15 and wow does it show, I'll admit it I am a little protective over him but I love him so much and want only the best for him ( Zach no more girlfriends your killing me!!!), My sister Lisa who has the biggest heart (she thought she ran over a bird once in her car and actually turned around to see if it was ok, haha i dont know too many people that would do that) and her husband John along with our little nieces Rylan and Ella (they are such a cute family.. if you dont beleive me go to their blog!) My sister Kristen who is 28; if you ever have any questions on the latest fashions just ask her she's top notch with her style and fashion I.Q. she's always dressed so cute, I raid her closet every chance cause she always has the cutest stuff! I love having her as my big sis she's got such a big heart and will always be there. I'm blessed to have both of my big sisters I love them so so much!
Mike parents Jim and Teena live only like 10 mintues away from us if that, which we love and take advantage of! I'm so lucky to have them as in-laws! I here a lot of married couples complain about their in-laws but I honestly can say mine are pretty close to perfect! Teena is infamous for loading us up with anything and everything.. especially food. No complaints there, she's so sweet! Mikes sister Tasha who is just a joy to be around and has the most contagious smile ever! And then there is her husband Jason..................................................................... HAHA jk Jason! Jason and I like to pick on eachother. Its quite entertaining! But him and Tasha are the cutest couple and Mike and I dont know what we'd do without them. We probably laugh 3/4 of the time when we all get together they're so much fun! And their precious baby Alana our youngest niece is ADORABLE! And Robert is the only one who doesnt live in AZ, he's living in Texas and we sure miss him! If you ever want to meet a genuine, caring, just flat out good person meet Rob. He's amazing and Mike and I love getting together with him whenever we can!
Ok I'm totally gonna shutup now I'll be suprised if anyone even reads all of this.. I guess its hard to put your whole family and updates all in one blog, but I guess you only gotta do it once. So I'm gonna go watch Mike and Grandpa Briggs play some cribbage now!
